Hawaii Five-0” stars, Alex O'Loughlin (Steve McGarrett), Scott Caan (Danny 'Danno' Williams), Daniel Dae Kim (Chin Ho Kelly), Grace Park (Kono Kalakaua), Masi Oka (Dr. Max Bergman) & Michelle Borth (Lieutenant Catherine Rollins).

Ho'onani Makuakane” opened with a flashback of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Steve McGarrett pays respect on the anniversary in the present day. He stops a Japanese man named David who tried to shoot Ezra Clark who he claims killed his father back in 1943. Clark is a veteran of World War II. He is accused of the murder plus the stealing of a Samurai sword that belonged in David's family for centuries.

In flashback, David talks about his time before Pearl Harbor. He was 10 years old & tells of how happy his family was on the Island. Everything changed on Dec. 7, 1941. The U.S. military arrested Japanese residents including David's family. They are faced with extreme racism. The oldest son packs his family's Samurai sword before they were deported to a prison & then to an internment camp.

Chin investigates & it was reported that David's father was killed by a fellow internment Japanese. David doesn't believe that. Danno finds out that Ezra Clark was a guard at the internment camp who is suffering from dementia. Ezra had married a Japanese woman & his daughter joins him when Steve questions them.

David shows Steve & Catherine photos of his family. He tells them that his brother enlisted into the U.S. Army during World War II. He was killed in action. David also showed them a picture of the Samurai sword. Steve then sees a photograph of his grandfather Steven who died during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He stood next to David's father.

Can “Five-0” find the stolen Samurai Sword? Was the death of David's father a cover up by the U.S. Military? Can “Five-0” find the real killer of David's father?
