The modern day Sherlock Holmes called “Elementary” (CBS) can be seen each Thursday evening at 10/9 p.m. This is a recap of last week's episode on April 24, 2014. It was titled, “The Man with the Twisted Lip” & according to the final TV ratings it garnered 8.12 million TV viewers overall. It reached 1.6 in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic.
The “Saturday Night Live” (NBC) special (9 to 11 p.m.) grabbed a paltry 2.46 million TV viewers overall & 1.0 with adults. “Black Box” (ABC) nabbed 6.60 million TV viewers overall & 1.5 with adults.
“The Man with the Twisted Lip” opened with previous scenes that introduced Mycroft Holmes as Sherlock's brother. He has a rare disease & is supposed to be dying. Plus, he slept with Watson while she was in London last year. Myrcoft also tried & then failed to bring Sherlock back to London.
Sherlock confesses that he has no peer in a drug addict meeting. He believes that because he has no peer, it is his greatest threat to his addiction. He can only give a part of himself because he has no equal. Him & Watson try to help a fellow female addict who cannot find her relative. They return home to find Myrcoft waiting for them.
Sherlock & Watson search the apartment of the relative named Page Dawl. She had been missing for two days & they find a box with bags of heroin in it. They find stacks of money as well & Watson grabs a business card with a phone number. Sherlock calls that number & a young man is later questioned in jail by detective Bell.
Mycroft talks to Watson & claims that he wants her back. She is flattered, but doesn't want to tell Sherlock anything. The next morning, Sherlock wakes her up by asking questions about what his brother really wants. They discuss Page & go to a park near her home. They both follow two sets of foot prints & then find two dead bodies. One is Page & they cannot recognize the other person which is a man.
Detective Bell finds out that the man is named Zack Pillar. Sherlock & Watson figure out that he was murdered & witnessed by Page who was also killed. - What does Myrcoft really want with Watson? Can Sherlock figure out why his brother is back in New York? How does Sherlock find a mechanical spider that might be a military drone?
