Watson & Sherlock
CBS Television

Elementary” stars, Jonny Lee Miller (Sherlock Holmes), Lucy Liu (Dr. Joan Watson), Jon Michael Hill (Detective Marcus Bell) & Aidan Quinn (Captain Tobias Gregson).

Ears to You” opened with Gareth Lestrade staying with Sherlock & Watson because he lost his job during the last murder investigation. He had always claimed to steal Sherlock's work as his own back at Scotland Yard. Sherlock is practicing on defusing a fake bomb. Lestrade tried to lure Watson away from Sherlock as his assistant & he keeps trying.

A man named Gordon Cushing gets out of a taxicab & goes to his apartment. He receives a box package in the mail & as he opens it there are two human ears in that box. Gordon's wife Sarah disappeared four years ago. People believe he killed his wife because they had an abusive relationship. Whoever sent the box left a note saying that those ears belonged to his wife Sarah.

Gordon took a ransom phone call one year after Sarah disappeared. He never told the police. They believe he took the money & let his wife remain missing. Meanwhile, Lestrade claims he was mugged & had been drinking alcohol. Watson doesn't want him around because Sherlock is an addict. Lestrade is afraid to be a detective consultant on his own because he feels he is nothing without Sherlock.

The DNA from the human ears match that of Sarah who is still alive. Gordon is ordered by a male to meet him at the subway to exchange money for Sarah. Gordon chases that man down in the rail tracks & kills him with a metal bar. No one saw him beat the man because Captain Gregson & his team were waiting for the man to lead them to Sarah.

The man who supposedly kidnapped Sarah is now dead & it seems he is working alone. Watson suggests that Gordon hired the man & then killed him to keep the secret that he may have killed his wife.

Can Sherlock & Watson figure out what Gordon is up to? Is Gordon keeping his wife missing permanently because he killed her? Can Lestrade move on from Sherlock & solve a crime on his own? You can watch the full episode “Ears to You” at the official website of “Elementary.”
