CBS comes out on top with viewers in preliminary ratings

Survivor won its time period in viewers and key demographics of adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Official ratings are pending but if these numbers hold, it will be the first time the series beats American Idol in viewers. It will also make it the second straight week winning the key demographics. These numbers come courtesy of the Neilson preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, March 19.

Survivor was first in preliminary ratings for the 8:00 PM timeslot with 9.58 million viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Criminal Minds won for the 9:00 PM time slot with 10.06 million viewers and were second with adults 25-54. The 10:00 PM timeslot went to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation winning with 10.09 million viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. CSI was also the most-watch program for the night. Wednesday night's ratings are usually big for CBS; they won the night in viewers, tied for adults 18-49 and were second with adults 25-54.
