Big Brother 13 viewers helped Brendon get back in the Big Brother house Thursday, while Lawon was evicted after volunteering to go on the block. But, can Brendon survive this week now that his archenemy Daniele is the new HOH, or will his reunion with his fiancee Rachel be short-lived? Nominations were held Friday (August 12), and the two houseguests on the block are...Shelly and Adam.
UPDATE: 'Big Brother 13' spoilers: HOH nominations for Week 8, plus a new twist
Before the nomination ceremony, Rachel and Brendon made a deal with Dani to work together going forward if she put up Adam and Shelly, with the intent of evicting Shelly this week. They agreed that they would pretend that her plan is to backdoor Brendon or Jeff so the other houseguests won't get suspicious. However, if the veto is used, it's still uncertain whether Daniele will stick to her word or if she'll put one of the Vets on the block, including Brendon. If the nominations remain the same, Shelly is likely a goner this week.

Shelly had a major meltdown Friday night after being confronted by various houseguests for playing both sides of the house. Kalia, Dani and Porsche compared notes and finally realized that Shelly cannot be trusted. They agreed that they wouldn't tell her anything anymore because they are sure she's also been working with the other side. Shelly had long, tense discussions separately with all three of the newly formed girls alliance members, which seemed to end well with Dani and Kalia, at least.
Later, after the nomination ceremony, Rachel began attacking Shelly for talking about her behind her back and playing both sides of the house. She maintains that Shelly has been leaking info to the other side for weeks, and made all sorts of accusations and outlandish comments, including that Shelly will get death threats when she's out of the house. Jordan wanted to call a house meeting to clear the air, which just led to more drama and screaming matches, with Jeff later yelling at Jordan for calling the meeting in the first place.
Rachel also told Brendon that everyone had been mean to her last week, including the Vets, and that she had felt all alone in the house. She also told him that Jeff made inappropriate sexual comments towards her while she was naked in the shower. Much of the Shelly/Rachel drama apparently stems from Rachel overhearing Jeff and Jordan talking about a final 3 deal with Shelly while she pretended to be asleep in the Have Not room. She realized that she was on the low end of a five person alliance, which also included Adam. Now that Brendon is back in the house, the couple believes that they have a better shot if they realign themselves with Daniele, and if either of them wins HOH next week, they promised Dani they would try to get Jeff out of the house.
Since the big fight, Shelly has been crying, threatening to quit and sulking in her bed. Jeff and Jordan still trust her despite Rachel's various attempts to pit them against her, but they said they would be willing to vote her out to keep themselves safe. Meanwhile, Adam seems to be quietly freaking out. He knows he's once again the pawn, but he started talking to the camera and apologizing to Lawon for voting him out. He now sees that the move was a mistake that led to both Brendon and Rachel being in the house together again.
Besides Daniele, Adam and Shelly, the other houseguests picked to play for the PoV were Kalia, Jeff and Jordan. Brenchal are upset they aren't playing for the veto to ensure that nominations remain the same. Subscribe to this column to find out who wins the PoV and whether it is used on either Shelly or Adam, forcing Daniele to choose a replacement nominee.
