CBS has announced its television schedule for the summer. The network has some new shows planned, including a take off on the British series, "The Great British Bake Off" and the return of popular shows, "Big Brother" and the Poppy Montgomery crime drama "Unforgettable."
A new reality competition series based on the hit UK format "The Great British Bake Off," premieres Wednesday, May 29 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The series features skilled amateur Americans competing in baking challenges with one ultimately being crowned the winner.
"Under The Dome," is based on Stephen King's best-selling novel and tells the story of a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away. The show is produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment. It premieres Monday, June 24 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) in "Hawaii Five-O's," slot.
"Big Brother" will be stretched out to three nights a week on Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT starting July 2. Julie Chen returns as host of the show. The LIVE eviction show airs on Wednesdays (9:00-10:00 PM live ET/delayed PT, beginning July 3) and Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT, beginning June 30). The Wednesday live eviction show will move to 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT on July 17.
In "Unforgettable," Poppy Montgomery returns as a police detective with a rare condition that makes her memory so flawless that everything is embedded in her mind. Dylan Walsh stars as her ex-boyfriend and partner. The series returns for for season two on Sunday, July 28 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). The show will take place in "The Good Wife" for the summer.
