Dragons' Den (CBC 8pm Wed) is one of the most popular TV show that lets entrepreneurs pitch to five investors (i.e. Dragons). The successful show is in its 4th season on CBC and it now has UWO's Ivey School of Business and EDC (Export Development Canada) are its lead sponsors/advertisers.
Few days ago, I conducted an exclusive interview with 2008 Dragons' Den entrepreneur Ben Gulak from Milton, ONT where Ben gave an update of what happened after his 2008 TV pitch and shared some latest info happened after the Nov 11th, 2009 CBC Dragons' Den update show.
In the following interview, you will hear Ben talking about Brett Wilson staying to invest in the Uno business, the new investors he has found, his new life as an MIT student, and his meeting with Dean Kamen (founder of DEKA & inventor of Segway) that happened only days ago. According to Ben, this one meeting with Kamen has saved him from "28 years" of "due diligence" as one of the investor/Dragon who backed out from the deal had worried about.
You can find more information about Ben's Uno bike at bpg-motors. By the way, Uno has been selected by Toronto Life as one of the "25 Ideas That Are Changing the World".
