Caylee Anthony, pics of heart, duct tape still court room

Photos of little Caylee Anthony's decomposed skull with the duct tape found near her jaw bone were shown to the Florida jury, leaving some crying foul over how the photos were shown. The actual duct tape was superceded over the skull, showing how the size of the duct tape covered both mouth and nose of the 2-year-old.

Casey Anthony did not look at the photos while the jury was in the room, but stared intently at the computer monitor after the jurors filed out of court.

Elizabeth Fontaine, a physical scientist and forensic examiner, was recently on the stand. She said a small heart sticker was placed on top of the duct tape, where the lips would have been. A sticker of approximately the same size and shape was located in the Anthony home after a search by officials.

"It was approximately the size of a dime," Fontaine testified. "If you were to wear a band aid for an extended period of time, and then take it off, there would be glue residue and debris. That's what this looked like, but in the shape of a heart."

Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez argued that the imprint was no longer visible after Fontaine looked at it a second time, which she agreed.

The fact that no fingerprints were found isn't a strong case for the defense, she noted.

"Fingerprints are fragile," testified Fontaine. "It's not surprising that there were none."

Atnhony's murder trial is in its fourth week, and the prosecution is expecting to wrap up its case soon. The defense continues to argue that Caylee died by accidental drowning in the family pool with the knowlege of Casey's father, George.
