Cavalry Pegasus is one of the newest "Magic: The Gathering" cards spoiled today Aug. 19, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming product "Duel Decks: Heroes vs. Monsters. Cavalry is one of six "Theros" preview cards that were revealed in an article by Trick Jarrett on DailyMTG.com.
Cavalry Pegasus - 1W
Creature - Pegasus (Common)
Whenever Cavalry Pegasus attacks, each attacking Human gains flying until end of turn.
"It is hope, hooved and winged."
-Cymede, queen of Akros
Cavalry Pegasus by itself isn't exactly the most glamorous creature, however what do you really expect from a common? It's when Cavalry Pegasus is in the presence of Humans that it shines, giving them all flying.
Cavalry Pegasus makes creatures you might otherwise be afraid of attacking with like Imposing Sovereign, Syndic of Tithes, Banisher Priest, and Master of Diversion much more powerful because you won't need to worry about them dying as easily in combat thanks to the evasion they'll gain.
Cavalry Pegasus will no doubt be one of several new cards printed with the Pegasus creature type in "Theros." You can check out all the game's previously printed Pegasi in the attached slideshow.
