Kristin Cavallari says that her “Hills” co-stars were bribed to spread lies about her drug use for ratings, The Huffington Post reported on Mar. 11.
According to the report, Cavallari’s “Hills” co-stars were bribed by producers to spread rumors that Kristin had a drug problem, which, in turn, boosted ratings.
Kristin has opened up about the former hit MTV show in the past, claiming that the reality show was pretty fake, and that she was cast as the bad girl of the group.
Cavallari claims her co-stars were bribed with expensive merchandise such as $10,000 Birkin bags to spread rumors, and drive up ratings.
"I had the public Kristin and then I had the real me," Kristin Cavallari told E!’s Giulianna Rancic. "I felt so used. And I realized at that moment that I didn't matter. None of us mattered. It was all about ratings," she added.
