If you've been to Legoland Florida lately, you know there's a big, busy construction site, although there's been no official announcement. Now it looks like park officials will be forced into giving details soon, as a mysterious power surge called attention to the site today. Click the video toward the bottom of this article to witness it for yourself.
The surge coincidentally occurred during the making of a routine update video, according to Legoland Florida. What could it mean? How does it tie in with the pirate-related rumors that have be swirling around the project? The park says experts are investigating and promise an update soon.
The new construction project comes on the heels of the popular Legoland Florida Star Wars addition to Miniland. The model area addition, which opened late last year, features animated scenes from all of the movies and the "Clone Wars" series.
Meanwhile, the Legoland Florida Water Park is gearing up to reopen for the season on Saturday. The watery playground, which sits adjacent to the main park, celebrated its grand opening in 2012. If you haven't been to it yet, check out this video overview to get a flavor for what it offers. Like Legoland Florida, it's geared to younger kids and families, with water slides, play areas, and a lazy river where you customize your raft with giant Lego bricks.
