Many in the Charlotte area are aware that cats Elizabeth and Francis will need a permanent home when their owner, Susanne Dillingham, will move to Italy. Susanne Dillingham is also known to most as The Tiny Chef.
The story of Elizabeth and Francis is rather unique. Susanne found Francis injured on the roadway. Rescuing Francis, which Dillingham said is named for St. Francis, was just the beginning. A vet explained that the cat had recently given birth.
The following amazing details are included in a message Susanne is sharing on the internet in hopes of finding the best home for Francis and Elizabeth:
On May 15, 2011 (my birthday) my sister went out to my car to get something. When she came back in my house, she was carrying a little 2lb 1oz kitten who looked exactly like Francis!!!! I named her Elizabeth, after my favorite character in Pride and Prejudice. Somehow, this little kitten had found her mother and somehow this kitten had survived 2 weeks without it’s mother! What a birthday surprise! They immediately went to each other and Francis began cleaning Elizabeth which was a sign to me that this was her kitten, for sure.
This interesting story of two cats that now need another home will be the perfect tale for the next owner to share with family and friends.
