Cats are on sale for $5 at the Medfield Animal Shelter

On Saturday, November 19th, for one day only, the Medfield Animal Shelter is offering cats and kittens over five months old for the bargain basement adoption fee of $5.00.  The shelter’s usual adoption fees are $75 for adult cats and $125 for kittens.

The discount day is part of a nationwide promotion organized through Best Friends Animal Society’s “No More Homeless Pets Network,” of which the Medfield Animal Shelter is a participating partner.  Adoption hours in Medfield will be from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, the 19th.

All of the Medfield Animal Shelter’s adoptable kittens and cats have been spayed or neutered, and are current on all required vaccinations.  Adoption fees are being drastically reduced for one day only to provide an incentive for pet lovers to welcome friendly felines into their hearts and homes.

The Medfield Animal Shelter has at least 16 cats awaiting homes, as well as six young kittens who are currently in foster care and will be ready to go at the end of this month.  It is a no-kill facility “whose mission is to rescue lost or abandoned animals and provide for their comfort and safety until they are reunited with their owners or placed in new homes.”  It takes in about 300 animals a year, and relies solely on adoption fees and private donations.

The Shelter is located at 101 Old Bridge Street in Medfield.
