Cats and kittens available for adoption at Bideawee in Manhattan, Jan. 24, 2013

Bideawee is the oldest no-kill animal shelter and organization in the United States. Founded in 1903, Bideawee ensures that its cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies are healthy both physically and emotionally as each animal receives the individual attention they deserve to prepare them to be taken home by suitable families. Here are a few of the cats that are currently available for adoption:

1. Romeo is a 6 year old neutered male, white, brown, and black Domestic Shorthair mix who came to Bideawee in September 2012.

2. Checkers is a 6 year old neutered male, brown and black Domestic Shorthair mix who came to Bideawee in September 2012.

3. Selena is an 8 year old, spayed female, golden cream Domestic Shorthair mix who came to Bideawee in November 2011.

4. Gizmo is a 5 and a half year old, black and white neutered male Domestic Mediumhair mix who came to Bideawee in July 2011.

5. Missy is a 7 year old, spayed female, Turkish Angora Domestic Longhair who came to Bideawee in January 2012.

6. Rocky is a 7 year old, neutered male, orange and white Domestic Shorthair mix who came to Bideawee in December 2011.

7. Cleo is a 2 year old, spayed female, black and cream, Domestic Shorthair mix who came to Bideawee in February 2012.

8. Geena is a 9 and a half year old, spayed female, black, white, and orange calico Domestic Shorthair mix who came to Bideawee in March 2012.

9. Rosie is a 4 year old, spayed female, silver and white Domestic Shorthair mix who came to Bideawee in October 2012.

10. Tom and Jerry are two gray 5 month old, neutered male, kittens who came to Bideawee together in December 2012.

Bideawee (410 East 38th St.) (212) 532-6395. The shelter is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from Noon until 7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
