Cats and dogs need dental care

Animal Coalition of Tampa (ACT), a low-cost spay-neuter clinic in Tampa, Fla., is offering pet owners a special price for having their cats’ and dogs’ teeth cleaned. During the month of February, the clinic charges $100 for teeth cleaning of cats and dogs weighing up to 17 pounds and $150 for cleaning the teeth of dogs weighing more than 17 pounds and also has a special on extractions, depending on the individual procedure.

In addition, ACT, dedicated to curbing the overpopulation of cats and dogs through pet sterilization, is offering to add an even lower charge for dentals if done at the time of spay-neuter surgery. The added charge for cats is $50 and for dogs $75.

Since infected teeth or gums can cause serious health problems, especially affecting the heart, lungs and kidneys, dental treatment for pets has become a preventive measure encouraged by veterinarians. With its special offer, ACT helps pet owners to provide their pets with the best health care.

ACT’s clinic is located at: 502 N.Gilchrist Ave. in Tampa. For directions, click here.
