Cats and Dogs interact with humans in health and mental health concerns - Part 1

This is a two part article, the first part will deal with cats and the second with dogs. Animals affect our mental health and our general health it is good to understanding them and how we interact with each other.

Cats do not steal a baby’s breath. This is a myth from the 1700th century. We now know that it is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) which is the culprit.

Cats are not all that independent they can love too much and suffer from separation anxiety. They may yawl, vomit, and even pee on your clothes to show signs of anxiety.

White cats with one blue eye are deaf in that ear, white cats with two blue eyes may be deaf in both ears.

Cats don’t always land on both feet they can land on their heads when they can’t get their bearings. They can fall out an open window when they are too concentrated on watching a bird.

The vomeronasal a scent gland in cats which allows them to smell with their mouth. This behavior is known as the Flehmen reaction.

To socialize a kitten you need to handle it within the first seven weeks of life or they may never bond with humans.

Housecats are affected in two dangers ways, first they breath in the cigerate smoke and then they ingest even more when they they lick their fur to groom themselves. .

Cats can purr when they are in pain even when they are dying. It is not known why but it might be soothing for them.

Learning the illnesses that are transmitted between animals and humans a well as the body language of animals can help the animals communicate with us and keep us safe from harm as well.
