Douglas was on Letterman this week and this emotional appearance showed a true fighter. He looked good for a man who had just finished his first week of radiation treatments, but he looked tired for the Michael Douglas we all know.
The deadly growth in his throat is going to need another seven weeks of these aggressive treatments, and this makes Zita-Jones upset because Douglas had sought medical treatment for his throat months ago with doctors finding nothing. It wasn't until the pair came back from their summer vacation that the cancer was found.
Douglas told Letterman he has an 80 percent chance of recovery. The cancer is at stage 4 and the aggressive radiation and chemotherapy treatments needed to treat this may eventually take a toll on Michael Douglas's health. People undergoing these types of treatments, lose weight, are fatigued, and over all feel drained.
