Catherine Zeta-Jones got the dancing started on Sunday night during the 85th Annual Academy Awards. The entertainer who was originally in the film Chicago returned to the stage at the Dolby Theatre to kick off a tribute to the resurgence of musicals over the past decade.
Dressed in a one piece bodice and working the show like she did for the movie, the entertainer had the audience clapping with delight as they got into the performance. While it had to be difficult to sing live, add all the moves of the performance and it probably was more difficult than most performances.
The Oscars gave the fans of films around the world a chance to embrace musicals in a whole new way. For the first time the entertainers were singing live with the orchestra. The experience gave the fans a whole new look at musicals and inspired people to check out the different musicals currently at the theaters and the movie stores.
