Cam Gigandet (James in Twilight) has landed himself the lead in a new CBS legal drama called Reckless, and he'll be working with none other than Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke on the upcoming pilot for it.
As detailed by The Hollywood Reporter, Gigandet will star in the new series as Roy, a liberal, newly-divorced city attorney in Charleston, South Carolina who works on a case involving a police sex scandal and deals with a few romantic entanglements of his own with a "gorgeous Yankee litigator."
Gigandet will star opposite Mad Men's Michael Gladis, who's his good pal and city police chief, and Hardwicke will direct the pilot. Safe Haven's Dana Stevens will write the pilot script.
Gigandet and Hardwicke most recently teamed for her latest movie Plush, which also features Twilight alums Xavier Samuel and Casey Labow.
He previously hit the small screen for recurring guest roles in shows like The O.C., Jack & Bobby and The Young And The Restless.
