Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge tours Scotland wearing a royal tartan plaid coat (Video)

Celebrity fashionistas take notice because once again Kate Middleton, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn takes the stylish center stage Thursday, April 4, 2013 while touring Glasgow, Scotland in a royal tartan plaid swing coat.

The royal tartan plaid is a blue grey tribute to the Scots with silver buttons embossed with what looks like the royal family crest.

Although spring has arrived in the Northern Hemisphere it appears Catherine needed to keep the chilly Scottish wind in check so she wore the cozy comfort coat. What do you think?

Portland’s Writer Girl fashion Facebook fans commented on this look, here’s what Eva Contreras DeVan wrote, “She could wear a leaf outfit and look great.”

Jimmie Ray Osborne said, “Very pretty.”

The Duchess covered up with the tartan mid-length coat her pregnancy bump while William chatted to young athletes and watched cyclists in the velodrome.

Marlene Hope commented, “She looks good in everything she wears.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his pregnant wife Catherine, began a two-day visit to Scotland touring the Emirates Arena, which will become one of the venues for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Deborah Arthurs for the Daily Mirror reported, “Kate is known as the Countess of Strathearn when north of the border, the duchess often pays tribute to the people of Scotland by wearing a flash of tartan. Today's tribute came courtesy of a blue and grey coat by British label Moloh, a Gloucestershire and Pimlico-based boutique where Kate has shopped before.”
