She may have played a good 'ol girl on The Dukes of Hazzard, but Catherine Bach will be a very bad girl in Genoa City when she comes to CBS' The Young and the Restless (Y&R) as Anita, the scheming mother of Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), who's pregnant with Billy Abbott (Billy Miller)'s child.
"Bringing more drama to the already testy situation between Billy, Victoria and Chelsea's surprise pregnancy, Bach will play Anita and join her daughter on a quest to conspire against Billy Abbott" Y&R's official website stated.
Bach spent seven successful seasons fighting the corrupt system along onscreen cousins John Schneider (Bo Duke) and Tom Wopat (Luke Duke) as Daisy Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard from 1979 to 1985. During the height of its popularity, Bach became an icon with those short, denim shorts her character wore on the show, as the "Daisy Duke" poster went on to sold five million copies.
Bach's first airdate on Y&R is February 7.
