Old Sacramento continues to attract thousands of visitors for the New Year celebration each year. The welcoming festivities for 2014 will include the usual New Year's Eve Sky Spectacular fireworks at both 9:00 p.m. and midnight. The Old Town tradition is free and family friendly with children programs, live music, street entertainment, food vendors and dinner specials offered in the various restaurants located in the old town district.
"This year's live music will be provided by the popular Radio Disney Road Crew, the ever-energetic Natomas Drumline, Nashville Recording Artist McKenna Faith and the Northern California-based funk and soul phenomenon, Joy & Madness."
The 5th annual Theatre of Lights will wrap up the holiday season with two final performances at 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. This outdoor performance mixes the "historic charm of Old Sacramento with state-of-the-art sound and lighting technology" with a focus on the narrated and theatrically presented poem The Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore presented on the rooftops and balconies of historic Old Sac buildings. .

Old Sacramento guests are allowed to bring blankets and fold-up chairs but no alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises except when purchased at eateries.
NOTE: The Tower Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic between 7:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.
