Teens have the opportunity to compare the book “Catching Fire” with the movie of the same name on Tuesday, December 17 at 4 p.m. at the Palmdale City Library.

This is their chance to voice their opinion and compare the different Medias with other teens.

“I am very excited about this opportunity for the teens to come and evaluate, complain, like, or dislike the movie versus the book,” said Youth Services Librarian, Lani Revell. “I want them to share what these two different venues of the same title mean to them by way of drawings, poetry, or through discussion. This is an open forum for the teens.”

The Teen Book Club meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4 pm at the Palmdale City Library. It is free and open to teens ages 13 to 16.

The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.

For more information call the library at (661) 267-5600 or TDD 267-5167.
