Catch up with Cabby while he Monopolize the VISION

While the whole country is at a complete standstill in hopes for a deal from those selected privileged individuals that exhibit nothing less than a supremacy performance, it’s with great pleasure to finally chat with a man who's creating his own moves. The world knows him as Cabby and he’s not just an ordinary-here we go again hip-hop entrepreneur. Cabby swags this optimistic persona, which as a result, enables the universe to hear his voice loud and clear in order for the doors to open wide!

Despite what’s going on in our world, Cabby is always on his grind- leaving all that nonsense behind and not wasting any time. Cabby's always thinking about what’s his and it happens to be mine. It’s simple, Cabby, oka , (only known as) Cabby is Monopolizing his skills to prevail; as a result, he’s got quite a bit to rap about since we last chatted in the beginning of 2012. In saying that…

Hello Cabby. First, I appreciate you taking out the time to catch up and find out what's really going on with you.

No, I appreciate you.

Let’s start from the beginning. Looking back and reflecting a little bit as a teenager-growing up on the East side of Denver and obviously you’re successful-how did your mother keep you in check?

Rest in Peace, my mom just passed away...

Oh wow, I’m so sorry, I didn't know that.

It’s all good- my mother did a wonderful job. She definitely embedded those morals in me and she did a great job as a single mother. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. You already know where I lived-the East Village projects.

Do you ever go back to visit your homies?

Yea, I’ve been going back a lot. I’m doing shows/features with up and coming artists that’s working gigs and staying on point with the networking; along with performing, doing some shows with Yung Joc, DJ Michael 5000 Watts, etc..

It’s a great feeling to receive the love from home. I have to say, it feels good that they pay that much attention to me- it's a good feeling.

Right on! I know you relocated to Vegas- so how’s Las Vegas lifestyle treating you? And, how different is Sin City from the Mile High City, home of the Denver Broncos?

Vegas got me; this city does treat me right! I’m constantly networking and moving from city to city-like Los Angeles, Atlanta; but, I have to say, Vegas got me! I’ve learned some things by living in Vegas.

True that. Vegas definitely is the place to be. Let’s get to the music. What’s behind the music of Cabby?

What’s behind the music? Just me! My music is motivational and linked to the streets- coming from nothing to something with a combination of fast livin.

You know what it is? I’m telling my stories in my own way. The adversities, some obstacles, while dunkin those hoops and jumpin over all kinds of loops. I want my music to inspire. I want to show and tell the world to keep the faith because faith without works is dead. You know, keeping it movin as we overcome.

Preach! That's real talk. What inspired the single "Left Lane?" I know you told me, but tell me again?

Inspiration behind that single Left Lane came from having the Vision to move forward- period! Sometimes I look around and everybody seems to be stuck in traffic, I’m Left Laning.

I heard that! Are you still under the label Too Much Entertainment with Big Mike?

Oh yea, the label is still going strong. We’re still active, always on the move-that’s where my project Monopolize, you know- my mixtape came out under, "Too Much Entertainment" with Big Mike and Scorp.

Oh, I'm assuming you’re Monopolizing the whole industry?

Well, you know, I’m monopolizing every situation, every opportunity available. I’m monopolizing by never looking back and always moving forward-Monopolizing everything that comes my way!

Speaking of Monopolizing, I heard you launched your own clothing line- Congratulations! Speak on it-give the readers some righteous details.

The word Vision is exactly what it is-it's the next step from a dream. We all have dreams and sometimes dreams aren’t reality- when we wake up from a dream- most of the time that dream eventually becomes a blur. Vision is about moving forward like I said before. My job is to get it- because I can see it very clearly!

When did you launch Vision?

Who created the logo?

Myself and the family.

What makes your clothing different from others already out there?

Well, I look at it like this, fads are confined. The way I look at it, unlike my line, Vision is defined. I'll say it again, Vision is defined. But, I liked the way JayZ created his line by making it affordable for those that work a 9 to 5.

Personally, I think people can relate to Vision. Vision is for both genders, created to motivate the kids, the urban lifestyle-Vision is for everybody and anybody that got that forward thinking mindset- striving to reach that next level.

Alright, alright...but, I have to ask- I'm looked at as a big bone woman-do you have my size?

We have to get you one. But, I don’t care if you weigh 500 pounds- you got a Vision; it’s for everybody. Not all women are a size 5.

Size 5? Maybe when I was 5!

Wow, I can't never be that big of a bone. Let's talk more about it on another date, you're too funny.

Where can the many visionaries in the world today purchase our VISION?

Right now, I’m doing some heavy promotion, a whole lot of word of mouth, shipping the Vision wear out to ball players and some DJs across the globe, etc... It's most definite that people will be able to shop online soon at Cabbyvision.com.

Also, I’m working on getting the Vision in stores across the globe and if everything goes as planned, I’ll have a booth at the Magic Show in Las Vegas in 2013. I'm praying everything will go well and I'll be able to debut the Vision at that big event.

That's cool. Speak it as though it is and keep putting those words out in the universe. What's on the agenda for 2013?

Musically? In 2013, we’re turning it up! I got my single “Let Me See It," which hit the billboard chart and about to release in the first quarter, following up with my new single- strictly for the ladies entitled "Patron."

I'm releasing “Choir Music," my street single-the video comes out at the top of year. Also, the video "Foreign Swag" off the mixtape. I'm still collaborating with people in the industry, at home, in L.A., I did something with Young Sam from “Hit My Cat Daddy,” Tru Ace- so; I’m just staying relevant and keeping it moving... Big things are happening because I got this serious Vision!

Looking back in 2012, it was a blessing to be in XXL Magazine back in March with Biggie Smalls on the 25th Anniversary- on the cover, and “Left Lane” made it on 106 & Park. I have to say, so many things were going down, you know-it's the Vision!

That's right! Speak on it...What's going on for New Years Eve?

I got invited to a show, Lil Scrappy doing a show in L.A... I might rock with his click.

That's sweet..Lil Scrappy is like my favorite on Love & Hip-Hop because he finally came to his senses even though he did home girl wrong.

What's going on with your love life?

Well, my kids got my back. They're holding me down and keeping me grounded!

In other words, we got some little Cabby’s running around?

They're all very active and involved in what I got going on behind the scenes.

They’re very active and I’m working hard to build a legacy for them. These little Cabby's are so active, I know I got to do it right- I'm their role model. That's the only thing on my mind-working hard for them. My job as a parent is to provide a headstart for their future. You know? If they want to go to college or pursue their own passion- whatever it is, it won't be a problem. Yea, they're my foundation, they keep me going.

Cool. You sound like a cool daddy.

On that beautiful note, again, we appreciate this opportunity of getting to know you.

Coming soon, it’s the launching of THE VISION by Cabby.
