Imagine having a broken and infected jaw, not being able to convey the amount of pain you’re feeling. Unfortunately that’s what Florence, a six year old black and white cat is going through right now. The staff at the no-kill Bideawee animal shelter in Manhattan rescued Florence from another shelter that was about to put her down.
When she arrived at Bideawee, Florence’s jaw appeared to have been broken for several weeks and it has become infected and infested with maggots and was altogether rotting. It remains unknown what exactly happened to this poor cat, but doctors and nurses are working around the clock to help heal her wounds. However, the medical care she needs, in addition to food, housing, and micro chipping procedures will be incredibly costly and will need your help in meeting these expenses.
