The Broadway production of “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof” got quite a star-studded welcome on opening night at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on January 17, 2013 in New York City.
Attending tonight were several A-listers including actor Victor Garber, actress/comedienne Tracey Ullman and singer Nick Jonas.
Tracey Ullman attended the premiere in her knee-length LBD (little black dress), topped off with a red coat, which she accessorized with a black handbag and black patent leather pumps.
Actresses Mamie Gummer and Grace Gummer were also in red and black – the red and black necklace on Grace was quite interesting – were those red peppers or strawberries?
Carrie Preston too was in black, donning a puffer coat over her LBD, while actress Sarah Paulson topped her pretty chiffon dress with a black winter coat.
Actress Tovah Feldshuh took departure from all that black or red for that matter and chose a mauve dress, teamed with a brown fur coat and striped black and white pumps (no that wasn’t zebra).
Singer Nick Jonas looked sharp in his grey suit and striped tie, while actor Paul Dano also finessed a grey ensemble.
In the boys’ camp, attending stylishly were the charismatic Victor Garber, Matt Bomer in his navy suit and matching striped tie, Ron Rifkin who perked up his suit with a deep purple tie and colorful scarf and Aidan Quinn.
Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, the Tennessee Williams masterpiece which won a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1955, is directed by Rob Ashford and stars Scarlett Johansson, Ciarán Hinds, Benjamin Walker and Debra Monk. Enjoy the slideshow…
