Casual Vietnamese dining in Chicago

Metromix just released a list of favorite Vietnamese sandwich spots in Chicago and heading the list was Sawtooth Restaurant and Lounge. While some new restaurants have a history of failed venues in their history, Sawtooth is a collaboration of 3 first-time restaurateurs.

While the restaurant made Metromix’s listed because of its authentic and delicious Vietnamese sandwiches, this is definitely not a one-tick-pony hotspot. With elegant and contemporary décor and a second floor lounge, this is a restaurant that is definitely worth checking out.

The authentic Vietnamese cuisine is reworked to have a fresh taste with local ingredients and flavors. Dinner menu items include exclusive Sawtooth items, like its Sawtooth Wings or Sawtooth Salad. The Sawtooth Wings feature the same crispy style chicken wings that are traditional to Vietnamese cuisine but the signature Sawtooth jalapeno garlic sauce makes it unique and memorable.

Check out this downtown hotspot and feel free to leave a comment on whether or not this is worth a second visit.
