Casual chic was the theme last night, January 9th; at the 2013 “People’s Choice Awards” and it dominated every celebrity hairstyle to walk the PCA’s red carpet.
The PCAs kick off the awards season of every year, setting the stage for hairstyles to be seen on upcoming red carpets. And while the evening is always comprised of more casual fare, as this is the award selected by the fans, the 2013 presentation of the “People’s Choice Awards” showcased a host of female celebrities wearing the hottest hairstyle predictions for the year; “Boho buns, braids and loose, disheveled waves.
The attached slide show depicts the favorite casual chic celebrity hairstyles that wore the look the best at the 2013 PCAs. Returning host, Kaley Cuoco, changed her hairstyle repeatedly during the airing, as she did last year, however the soft waves she began with led to the ease of her versatility.
Katy Perry and Lea Michele wore the celebrity hairstyles of “The People’s Choice Awards” with the most intricate details and the always-glamorous Taylor Swift didn’t get the casual chic memo, opting for her usual elegant style, this time with a twist of the relaxed in a stunning up-do.
The red carpets of the “Golden Globes” and the “Oscars” will undoubtedly see increased elegant variations of the casual chic visible last night at the PCAs, similar to Taylor Swift’s celebrity hairstyle and as we star gazed at the 2013 “People’s Choice Awards,” we will certainly be watching in awe as Hollywood’s beauties shine in the next few weeks and months.
Long Island style watchers can watch their favorite celebrities as “The 70th Annual Golden Globes” air locally on NBC New York Channel 4 at 8 p.m. And this author will be reporting on all of the red carpet hits and misses of the night.
