After its successful recent debut, the Castro Theatre brings back the new sing along experience of Oscar-winning FROZEN for three weekends of matinee shows in April and one evening show on Easter. Beginning on April 12, and continuing on April 19, 20, 26, and 27, 2014, FROZEN-atics are invited to don their best Anna, Snow Queen Elsa, Kristoff, and reindeer-inspired costumes and warm up their vocal chords to participate in the Castro Theatre’s newest sing along experience.
Disney's FROZEN SING-A-LONG takes the delightful musical to another level: This special screening of the new Disney hit is complete with subtitles and a bouncing snowflake so the whole audience can sing along — to “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love is an Open Door,” and of course, Idina Menzel's Oscar-winning showstopper "Let it Go."
Hosted by Laurie Bushman and Sara Moore, the interactive screening includes event-themed goody bags to get the audience in the spirit of cheering on fearless Anna and her quest to break the Snow Queen's icy spell. Movie-goers are encouraged to add to the fun by dressing up as their favorite character from the film, and can compete to win prizes in the costume contest. Family-friendly afternoon shows will feature kids in costume on parade.
Each show will be preceded by a 30-minute concert of Disney musical favorites featuring Castro organist David Hegarty on the Castro’s Mighty Wurlitzer.
