Everyone has a theory on who killed Beau Randolf. Practically every person that our NYPD team interviews mentions at least one person who could have done it. Honestly, it is a little weird, but considering Beau’s reputation, it could make sense. For the most part, the suspects are well fleshed out and very diverse. There isn’t anything horribly wrong with them or with how the writers presented them. Did you enjoy the case?
Scarlet Jones is Beau’s bodyguard, and Esposito takes a liking to her. It is great to see Esposito in flirt mode, mainly because it is humorous. His conversations with Ryan about Scarlet are great. The writers could have included a couple with Castle or with all three of the boys as well. Scarlet never really comes off as the murderer though just because the writers keep on going back to her. She is featured too much to be considered a possibility. Instead of one of her interrogations, the writers could have showed a little bit more of her date with Esposito. He could have mentioned the case casually to her, and some questions could have been answered that way. Did you like Scarlet and Esposito together?
Alexis has a vlog, which worries Castle. Unfortunately, viewers only see a snippet of one of her videos. The writers could have had Castle play Beckett a different vlog or maybe Ryan and/or Esposito know about it. There is potential with this vlog storyline. It’s always great to see Alexis, but it would be great to have her involved in an arc that lasts more than an episode. If she and Castle could have a discussion, argument, debate, anything that even lasted two episodes it would be progress. The father daughter relationship adds a level of heart to the show, and unfortunately it is being dosed out episodically. What do you think?
