"Castle" season 5 is going to take a look at Ryan's (Seamus Dever) past for an upcoming case in episode 18, "The Wild Rover," for which ABC released promotional photos on Tuesday, March 12.
In this "Castle" episode, the investigation begins when their victim is found in an industrial cake mixer. During their investigation, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) find a link to an Irish gang in Staten Island and a bar owner, Siobhan O'Doul (Cara Buono). It turns out Ryan has "a complicated history" with both Siobhan and the crime family in Staten Island from when he worked in narcotics undercover. And Ryan's going to be forced to go back in undercover to find the killer, which is going to complicate things with Jenny (Juliana Dever).
The photos for "The Wild Rover," which you can check out in the slideshow at the top of this article, offer a look at the crime scene and a briefcase that is sure to be linked back to the murder somehow. There's also a look at Ryan and his wife having a serious discussion; is it about Siobhan kissing Ryan right in front of Jenny?
