The People's Choice Awards were announced during a live broadcast hosted by Kaley Cuoco at the Nokia Theatre on Wednesday, January 9th on CBS.
The People’s Choice Awards is the only major awards show where fans determine the nominees and winners across categories of movies, music and television.
Last year's blockbuster, "The Hunger Games," was the night's big winner taking home five awards. Sandra Bullock received the first-ever award for "Favorite Humanitarian."
"Castle" was one of the big winners of the night, winning awards for Favorite TV Crime Drama and Favorite TV Drama Actor for star Nathan Fillion. Most of the show's cast was on hand and talked to Classic TV Examiner on the red carpet, including Jon Huertas, who plays Detective Javier Esposito on the show.
Check out the interview on this page as Jon talks about his character's story line and some new music he's putting out.
"Castle" airs tonight with an all-new episode called "Under the Influence." When an up and coming DJ is killed at a pop star's album release party, Beckett and Castle must dive into the raucous world of New York's music industry. Then, when the investigation leads to a troubled teenager, Esposito takes the kid under his wing, hoping to put him on the right track before it's too late.
"Castle" stars Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, Susan Sullivan, Molly Quinn, Penny Johnson Jerald, Tamala Jones, Seamus Dever and Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito.
"Castle" airs Mondays on ABC.
