Beckett: “Last thing I need is to watch someone from my past trying to seduce my fiancé while talking about the goddess that lives in her hoo-ha.”

This case makes Castle very, very happy. There are ninjas! All throughout the episode, Castle is very excited and happy, throwing out ninja theories every second. This is a very fun case, and seeing how intense the last case was, it is great to have a little levity. The family connection is nice, but it would have been great to spend more time working with the victim’s sister. She had a badge, and so she could have maybe helped out on the case a bit. Instead, she uses her ninja skills to save the day, which isn’t too terrible. Did you enjoy the ninjas as much as Castle did?
Beckett worries that she and Castle will be boring after they have been married. There is not too much conversation on this topic, which after being attacked by a ninja, the question is pretty much answered. Still, it would be great if Beckett maybe took some of her thoughts to Ryan and Esposito. Castle and Beckett have been keeping all the wedding and marriage thoughts to themselves, but it could be interesting to have the precinct share their thoughts, advice, and/or opinions. Would you like to see Ryan and Esposito involved in this more or do you like that these storylines feature only Castle and Beckett?
Here are some thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. Castle, Ryan, and Esposito spend some time together. It is great. They are always fun to watch, and this episode features them undercover. While investigating a lead, they stumble into a Japanese nightclub. It is great to have the writers mix things up a bit. Beckett steps out for a dinner with an old friend, leaving the rest of our awesome detective team to be able to take the lead. Gates takes on a more prominent role in the episode. She is mainly comedic relief, of sorts. Her relationship and interactions with Castle create humor. It is still great to see her around more. What did you think of the episode?
