Calling all models and aspiring models! The Retention Strategy and Vision Model Management is holding a crowd sourced casting call for the Minneapolis Diaspora Fashion Show F/W 15 to be held August 16. The casting call will be held this Friday August 8 from 3:00pm-7:00pm at the OOTN Lifestyle Boutique located in Minneapolis, MN. All models are welcome but ethnically diverse models are highly encouraged to attend.
Models that are attending should be dressed in white tees and fitted jeans (no baggy clothing) and women are to bring with them high heeled shoes, no wedges. Prior to attending comp cards should be mailed to email@example.com in advance and also bring a copy with them to the casting. Requirements for models are as followed:
Women: Must be a size 2-6 and 5'7” or taller
Men: Must be a size 40”-42” through the chest area and be 5'9”-6'2” tall

“Diaspora” (the dispersion of people from their original homeland) is a unique approach to history through the fashion lens. Through the inclusion of diverse design talent, models, music, and art, the fashion show will recognize the shared past and variety within the African diaspora, as well as provide a clear vision for the future. Bought to you by the Retention Strategy, they are also proud to partner with Target to showcase pieces from their exclusive Ámbar collection in the show. The evening will be hosted by 89.9 FM KMOJ, 'The People's Station' very own Shed G and Kare11’s Adrienne Broaddus and will feature musical entertainment from Liquid Crystal Project and DJ3J. Models in the show will have their hair and makeup done for the event by The Beauty Lounge. The Minneapolis Diaspora Fashion Show F/W 15 will take place Saturday, August 16 from 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm at The Lab Theater in Minneapolis, MN.
