Kurtzman/Orci Productions and 20th Century Fox Television are prepping to begin filming the new modern–day supernatural thriller "Sleepy Hollow" based on Washington Irving's short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Shooting will take place in Charlotte, NC starting on March 11, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles, New York, and Charlotte are holding auditions for starring, guest starring, possible recurring, and day player roles. The show's background performers are being cast by the Charlotte extras casting director. Television crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in North Carolina.

20th Century Fox "Sleepy Hollow" Auditions and Casting Calls
"Sleepy Hollow" tells the story of Ichabod Crane, who wakes up in modern day Sleepy Hollow to discover the soldier he slayed on the battlefield, the headless horseman, has also returned from the dead, seeking vengeance and ushering in a powerful new evil.
Starring in "Sleepy Hollow" is English actor Tom Mison in the lead role of Ichabod Crane. Mison is a trained theatre actor who graduated from Webber-Douglas Academy, which is now part of University of London's Central School of Speech and Drama. Swedish actress Katia Winter is portraying Ichabod Crane's wife Katrina. Winter grew up in London since childhood, and worked in British television and films. She had a recurring role on
"Dexter" in 2012. African-American actress Nicole Beharie plays Detective Abbie Archer. Beharie is a graduate of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts & Humanities and also studied at The Juilliard School. The always amazing Orlando Jones co-stars as Lieutenant Frank Williams.
