Cast of 'Chicago' to reunite at next Oscars (Photos)

It was announced today, Feb. 10 that the cast from the Academy Award-winning film "Chicago" will be on the Oscar stage to present at the next Academy Awards. The cast members that will presenting are Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere and Queen Latifah. It is most likely that the group will be handing out Oscars for some of the musical honors, such as the Oscars for Best Score and Best Original Song.

"We are very excited to reunite the stars of 'Chicago' to present on the Oscars, on the 10th anniversary of the movie's win for Best Picture," said Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

In 2003 "Chicago" was nominated for 13 Academy Awards and won six Oscars, including honors for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress to Catherine Zeta Jones.

Academy Award winner Renée Zellweger won her Oscar in 2004 for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in "Cold Mountain." She was nominated for two other Oscars for her work in "Chicago" and in 2001's smash comedy "Bridget Jones's Diary." Pre-production has already begun on the third "Bridget Jones" film with a tentative title of "Bridget Jones's Baby," which will star Ms. Zellweger and Academy Award winner Colin Firth later this year.

Catherine Zeta-Jones won her Oscar for her supporting role in "Chicago." The Welsh actress is as accomplished on stage as in film. In 2009 she won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in "A Little Night Music." Jones can be seen in theaters right now in Steven Soderberg's "Side Effects." She will also be starring in "Red 2," with Bruce Willis, Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren; the film will be released in August.

Richard Gere won a Golden Globe for his performance in "Chicago." The actor has not, as of yet, been nominated for an Academy Award. He has had a busy time during this award season as he has been honored by the Palm Springs Film Festival with the Chairman Award and nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his performance in "Arbitrage." Gere can be heard voicing a role in the animated film "Henry & Me," that is slated to be released sometime in 2013.

Queen Latifah was nominated for an Oscar for her role in "Chicago." The versatile actress is also a Critics Choice Awards winner for 2007's hit musical "Hairspray." Latifah will star in "House of Bodies," also starring Terrence Howard and Peter Fonda. The thriller is scheduled to be released into theaters sometime this year.

The 85th Annual Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 24 and will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. The night will be hosted by Seth MacFarlane live on ABC and will be televised in more than 225 countries worldwide.
