Cassidy Reyes accepts media title and is interviewed (Photos) (Video)

On Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, actress and model Cassidy Reyes accepted the title of UFTA Media Coordinator. UFTA President Al Quinn, and other officers, requested that Reyes help promote UFTA (United Film & Television Artists).

Young Reyes, 15, is one of the organization's newest and youngest members and now newly "in charge" of helping to advertise online for UFTA.

Even though Cassidy Reyes is quite young, UFTA, and many of its seasoned members, have discovered and agreed that it is the young who know what it is all about when it comes to using, promoting or advertising anything on the internet.

Examiner.com recently met Reyes at a UFTA meeting held on Wednesday, Jan. 9 in Fort Myers, Fla. and was impressed by both what the group had to offer and what Reyes suggested to do in the areas of promoting and advertising. Using Facebook (see Reyes here) was one of her suggestions.

Not only is Reyes an asset to UFTA in the areas of online promoting, but she is also quite talented as an actress and model. She took the time to answer a few questions about those areas of expertise.

"I first realized I wanted to be part of the entertainment industry when I was very young. By the time I was 13 I realized that acting was what I was born to do.

I love reading lines from a script and making them my own, and as much as I love acting, I would also like to get more into modeling."

Cassidy Reyes is born and raised in Fort Myers.

"I love it here, and I never want to move anywhere else unless, of course, I get an acting or modeling gig in another state!"

This teen model and actress has a decade of gigs and experiences under her belt.

"I was a runway model for a Black and White event, and I have acted in a Verizon commercial.

In addition, I have been in over 12 plays, two of which I had the lead role."

Turns out, too, Reyes has had some impressive auditions and castings.

"I have auditioned for "Nickelodeon" and the "Disney Channel." I have also auditioned for "Army Wives" twice.

I cannot say I have one favorite casting, audition or gig, as I have enjoyed all of them."

UFTA and Examiner.com were curious what Reyes has in the area of acting training.

"I am currently in the drama program at Fort Myers High School.

I had an acting coach at Southwest Florida Modeling and Talent Agency, and she helped me prepare for a big convention. At the event I had to recite a monologue in front of many producers, casting directors and agents.

Also, at the acting convention, I had several hours of intense training from professionals in the industry."

When asked if Cassidy had worked with anyone who also had ties with UFTA she mentioned those whom she read with for a film project.

"There is an amazing script written by Stu Pepper called "The Cure," and I hope to be part of the production of that movie. If I am not in the movie, I want to meet all of the stars who are cast in it!

I have already done a reading of the script and worked with many UFTA members - Al Quinn, Carrie Belluso, Nancy Pepper and more."

Cassidy Reyes, along with her dad, Dr. Joe Reyes, has been attending UFTA. They have been actively busy with the organization and support what it represents in the areas of entertainment.

"My non-acting friends think what I am doing [in acting, modeling and as a UFTA member] is really cool, and they are all starting to want to get into the industry.

I am looking forward to an eventful future in the biz, and my goal is to be in a big Hollywood production."

Congratulations Cassidy Reyes for your new title as UFTA Media Coordinator and for sharing all things entertainment.

Cassidy, your fans look forward to your next acting or modeling project - break a leg!
