In a new interview with Daily Mail ‘Mortal Instruments’ author Cassandra Clare speaks out on several topics. One of which is something that fans can’t wait to see in the highly anticipated “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” film, the chemistry between Lily Collins (Clary Fray) and Jamie Campbell Bower (Jace Wayland.) Though they’ve never confirmed it publically, it’s obvious to anyone that sees the pair or just pictures that they are real couple outside of the world of the Nephilim.
“I remember coming to the set and one of the people who worked on the crew mentioned it. Then I saw them together and they’re so clearly in love and it’s very sweet. I wish them all the happiness,” Clare said in the Daily Mail interview. On Valentine’s Day Sony Pictures released a romantic picture of the two and, well just look at it! I know now fans are even more anxious to see their chemistry in the film.
In the Daily Mail article Clare also spoke about Twilight author Stephanie Meyer saying, “Stephanie has been lovely, super-promotive and she’s recommended my books to a lot of people.”
Clare recently addressed the “Twilight effect” and continues to stress the importance of such stories. “For me, the triad of Harry Potter, the Hunger Games and Twilight feature strong women and as a declared feminist, it’s a wonderful thing. These women have really opened up this particular world of storytelling, which I’m very grateful for.”
