Cassadee Pope, the winner of season 3 of "The Voice," can now lay claims to a platinum single, "Wasting All These Tears" for achieving over one million downloads according to country music news reports released Monday, March 17, 2014. This is Pope's first single released after winning "The Voice."

Pope joins two other female country music artists to achieve a platinum single on their debut single. Taylor Swift was the last female country music artist to hit this milestone in 2006 with her debut single, "Tim McGraw."

Since winning "The Voice," Pope has debuted as a solo artist performing at various venues and on television, as well as putting together a new album. Pope released her debut album, "Frame by Frame" last October. Her talent as a singer is impressive, but she is also a promising songwriter too. Pope lays claim to writing five of the songs on her new album.

Pope, 23, sailed though the third season of "The Voice" under coach Blake Shelton and was a favorite to win the reality singing competition from the very start. She nailed songs by other country music artists on the show such as "Over You" by Miranda Lambert, "Cry" by Faith Hill and "Stupid Boy" by Keith Urban to win fans and the judge's hearts during the competition. She also took over the No. 1 spot on the iTunes All-Genre Chart while the show was airing throughout the season.

Pope will be touring with Tim McGraw this summer on the Sundown Heaven Town Tour 2014. The Sundown Heaven Town Tour kicks off on May 8, 2014 in Fresno, Ca. at the Save Mart Center and ends on July 22, 2014 in Albuquerque, Nm. at the Isleta Amphitheatre.
