Rising country singer Cassadee Pope is much more than a singing competition winner. She's a bonafide star, and it all came roaring to the stage during the singer's recent performance at KJ-97's St. Jude Jam in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday (March 12).

During her performance of her Top 10 debut single "Wasting All These Tears" (which recently went platinum), the crowd broke out into a sing along. "Thank you thank you thank you for last night, San Antonio. Couldn't even finish #WastingAllTheseTears because of how loud you were!" Pope proclaimed to her Twitter fans. The video evidence is enough: her fans sure do love her and that pop-country anthem. "I wish I could erase your memory," she sings on the chorus, "because you didn't give a damn about me."

Last week, "Wasting All These Tears," the lead of her No. 1 bowing album "Frame By Frame," became the first single by a female solo artist since 2006 to go platinum in sales. Previously, that distinction belonged to fellow Big Machine superstar Taylor Swift and her "Tim McGraw" ode, off her self-titled debut record.

"Thank you all SO much for you support on #WastingAllTheseTears. Because of you, it is now certified PLATINUM! Unreal!" Pope gushed on Thursday (March 6). Her brand new single is "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart" and is currently being heard on radio all across the country.
