Cash Money Records sued for $600,000 by 70s producer

Looks like Cash Money Records has finally made their way back to headlines as the label is being sued for $600,000 by a 70s record producer, according to TMZ.

Robert Poindexter from the band The Persuaders, is reportedly suing the label claiming that Bow Wow used a sample from his bands song "Love Gonna Pack Up (And Walk Out), in the artists new song "Still Ballin."

The original song which was recorded in 1972 was a chart topper and Poindexter claims Cash Money Records never obtained permission to use it.

Poindexter has attempted to get in contact with the label, who seems to be giving him the run around. According to TMZ, Bow Wow's attorney forwarded the producer back to Cash Money who has yet to respond to anyone.

Cash Money has not yet released a statement on the lawsuit.
