Casey Crescenzo (The Dear Hunter) to release "Amour & Attrition"

Casey Crescenzo, lead vocalist and mastermind behind the powerhouse, theatric-rock outfit The Dear Hunter, finally unveiled the official release date, title, and pre-order options for his debut symphony work.

The Dear Hunter frontman announces album details and streams new track clip

The 4 movement symphony, titled Amour & Attrition, drops on on June 3.

Accompanying the album's details, Crescenzo revealed a short teaser video in the vein of Disney's Fantasia films, that features a snippet of his symphony's first movement. The clip can be streamed above.

After releasing a total of five full-lenghts, including the epic 36 track Colour Spectrum rock opera, The Dear Hunter frontman took to the internet, crowdfunding his first the album via PledgeMusic. Though the artist's past work features highly orchestrated instrumentation, they are always accompanied by rock n' roll elements and (incredible and dynamic) vocal work. Amour & Attrition marks the musician's shift to full-on composer, taking the reigns of the BRNO Orchestra in the Czech Republic to create a 4-movement piece.

In support of the album, Crescenzo will embark on short nationwide tour run with a string quartet featured on most dates and a few solo acoustic shows peppered in for good measure.

Pre-order Amour & Attrition at Merchnow.
