Casey Anthony video: Body language expert says she's an immature 'airhead'

Florida – A black and white video diary of Casey Anthony surfaced on Jan 5, 2012, showing her speaking to a webcam as she talks about her new life and her excitement about having a new computer. One psychiatrist and body language expert is calling her actions in the video release immature.

“I don't know whether to look directly at myself or look up. Oh man, I don't know what to do,” Casey says in the just over 4-minute video blog.

She does not speak about her dead child or her parents, but notes, “I'm extremely excited, I'm extremely excited that I'll be able to Skype and obviously keep a video log, take some pictures and that I have something that I can finally call mine.”

Renowned Tampa psychiatrist Dr. Walter Afield, who is a body language expert, spoke to WTSP about the video, saying the “first thing he noticed is how vain” Casey is by “showcasing” her new short, blond hair and glasses.

“She very much cares about her appearance. There's the second push-back [of the hair],” he said.

Afield also surmised that Casey is “trying to act seductive,” but is in fact “lonely.”

He added, “Well, you could say that she's being protective or sexual. This is like the diary of a teenager. She's an airhead and a killer.”

Cheney Mason, one of the attorneys who represented her during her summer murder trial, released a statement shortly after the video hit the Internet saying Casey “did not upload or release this to YouTube... therefore it had to be obtained illegally.”

According to WTSP, her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, are worried the video could put Casey in danger and said, “We hope she's safe, wherever she may be.”

Casey's daughter Caylee was reported missing by Casey's mother, Cindy Anthony, in the summer of 2008. The girl's lifeless body was found in December of that year in a wooded area near the Anthony family home. During Casey's 2011 murder trial, prosecutors claimed she rendered the girl helpless using chloroform and then suffocated her with duct tape, later dumping her body in the woods. Casey's legal team, however, countered by arguing that no one was murdered and that the child died accidentally by drowning in the family's backyard pool.

Casey walked out of jail a free woman on July 17, 2011, following her July 5 acquittal, and has kept a low profile since then. She is currently on probation for a Jan. 2010 check fraud conviction.
