Porn star or paralegal? Or just a public relations ploy to keep Casey Anthony in the news?
While working her way through the court of public opinion, acquitted alleged murderess Casey Anthony is pulling out the stops on an otherwise slow news week.
According to a report released Wednesday by the National Enquirer, Anthony is allegedly fielding offers to strip and bare all.
“Casey is flat broke with no way of repaying her debts,” an insider told the Enquirer. “She’ll never get a regular 9 to 5 job, and no legitimate book publisher or TV network will give her a deal for her story.”
The porn industry has already shunned the alleged murderess indicating that the public wanted nothing to do with her.
Following her murder acquittal, Vivid Entertainment made Anthony an offer to star in one of their feature adult films. After negative blow back, they pulled out and withdrew.
“It has become obvious to us that Vivid fans, and people in general, want nothing to do with her and that includes a XXX movie,” stated Vivid Entertainment boss Steve Hirsch. “We were ready to make an offer to Casey to star in one of our feature films. It’s clear to me now, however, that there has been an overwhelming negative response to our offer and so we’ve decided to withdraw it.”
In recent days, Anthony made news in a Craigslist posting promising $50k for information on her whereabouts, about winning her appeal before a Florida appellate court on two of four misdemeanor lying convictions, her desire a to start a new career as a paralegal, being photographed on a central Florida beach, the initial filing of her bankruptcy petition and a legal attack challenging it as “forum shopping.”
“Casey has already received offers from executives at various companies that stream porno and anonymously contacted women who have made this their career," stated the insider. "Many of them are students and bored housewives and they encouraged her to go for it."
In order to capitalize on her "fame," Anthony would have to strip under the Casey Anthony brand.
"Our justice system has spoken and Ms. Anthony was acquitted," stated Fort Lauderdale criminal defense attorney and Fox/CNN legal contributor Eric Schwartzreich. "It's time to allow Casey Anthony to live in peace."
In order to profit from adult films, Anthony would have to discharge her pending bankruptcy.
“Wiping away her debt through bankruptcy was inevitable,” said John Contini, a Fort Lauderdale criminal defense attorney and author of several real-life crime dramas including Danger Road and Feeling the Heat. “While Casey Anthony has about the same chance at becoming a porn star as you or I, she would have to discharge her bankruptcy prior to doing so. Any proceeds from a porno flick would be considered an asset to be distributed among her creditors.”
