Casey Anthony attorney, Jose Baez: Ask me what went wrong

Novels could be written about the Casey Anthony case and her attorney Jose Baez, and the prosecutor in trial did just that. But in an interview on Thurs., Jan. 24 with WESH.com Baez says the prosecutor didn't get it right.

The "Prosecuting Casey Anthony" movie didn't get it right either according to the man who some say is credited with helping Caylee Anthony's mother get away with murder.

Jose Baez says that his book about the case is the best shot people have of understanding the characters in this real life drama, and he also thinks that if people really want to know what went wrong with the prosecution's case they need to ask the defense.

It's an excellent point, since Baez did win his legal arguments against his professional competitor and his client did walk free. So it's hard to argue with success.

The Orlando Sentinel.com reported on Friday that Casey's attorney has more success where she is concerned because a Florida court has ruled that two of the four convictions Baez's client received for lying to detectives should be dropped. Therefore, it appears Jose Baez has now gotten Casey off a murder rap and two guilty convictions.

Casey Anthony must still face the woman she defamed when she claimed her daughter's nanny was to blame for her child's disappearance. That's because the fictional woman she created and named nanny Zenaida Gonzalez really existed. But Jose Baez isn't worried, and he told Cfnews13.com that he doesn't really think that "Zanny the Nanny" will stand much of a chance in court against him and his client. And who can doubt him?
