Casa Toraño cigar band
- Length: 6 1/4 inches
- Ring Gauge: 50
- Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
- Binder: Nicaraguan
- Filler: Honduran / Nicaraguan and a blend of South and Central American tobaccos
The Casa Toraño started out as the Toraño family's private blend. It was smoked around the factory and was given out at rolling events. Response to the blend was positive so, the private blend was brought into production.
The wrapper is light tan in color and gives off a leathery tobacco aroma. The foot has a mildly sweet aroma to it. The construction of the cigar is good and it is a nice looking cigar.
The pre-light draw was very easy. The cigar burned evenly and did not require any maintenance during the session.
This is a smooth, mild cigar at the beginning. It held an ash for a good inch and a half. The smoke stayed cool to the very end. Each puff gave off a good amount of flavorful smoke. Towards the final third of the cigar, there was an increase in strength and some spice made an appearance. There was also a woody sweetness on the finish.
This is a great smoke for anytime of the day. Smoke time was just about 60 minutes. I would recommend this cigar to anyone who enjoys mild to medium bodied cigars.
