Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child who has suffered abuse and neglect? Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lancaster County is hosting a Community Awareness Sessions on Engagement (C.A.S.E.) session on 10 December at the LGH Suburban Outpatient Pavilion.
CASA of Lancaster County provides court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children. The advocates believe every child deserves a safe and permanent home. At the session, CASA representatives will present the mission and vision of the organization. They will also address common myths that surround children in foster care and discuss how you can lift up a child’s voice, a child’s life.
Young adults who have been through the program will offer audiovisual will share the long term impact of having a qualified, compassionate adult fight for and protect their right to be safe.
"We are excited about providing the community this opportunity to learn more about CASA of Lancaster County and how we impact your neighborhood. CASA is central to fulfilling society’s most fundamental obligation to children – the right to grow up in a safe, permanent and nurturing home,” said Jessica Laspino, executive director.
