Cartoon Network Hosts Second Annual Hall Of Game Awards

Saturday, February 18, 2012, - Santa Monica, CA. The second annual Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards hosted by basketball legend and TNT NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal, and featuring performances by Flo Rida and Hot Chelle Rae. This first-of-its-kind sports award event for kids, which lets the viewers vote and honor their favorite sports stars and sports moments of the year, will air on the Cartoon Network on Monday, February 20th (7:00 p.m. ET/PT 6:00 p.m. CT).

On hundred and two million people voted online for the eleven fun categories of a total of twenty three, with nominees across the board in the sports arena. The show was a true party for both kids and adults. Representatives from the NFL, NBA, MLB, Ski, Tennis and Soccer were honored and happy to celebrate their success in their respective fields with their young cheering supporters and their parents. Odd couple Shaquille O’Neal and Rico Rodriguez hosted the show. Their fun pre-taped short film led to Shaquille’s spectacular entrance as he was flown onto the stage on a wire. Presenters kept it short but sweet and very fun, specially The Miz, who is always a show by himself and loves hanging out with the youngsters.  Shaquille was a great host and even got to show off his talent as a break dancer.
