This seems to be a field ripe for a unique person like Carson, who does algebra as a way to wind down and relax.
By way of background, Huey-You has bragging rights as being the youngest person to matriculate at his university to date. The second youngest was Sam Hong, who was 17 when he graduated in 2011.
Getting into this esteemed institution of higher education proved to be a piece of proverbial cake for Carson Huey-You, who showed off diverse talents at his official interview. He played the piano for the admission team and he also spoke in Mandarin Chinese to illustrate his bilingual language skills.
But those achievements are not surprising to one person in Carson's life. His mother, Claritta, realized she had a little genius as a son when the kid was only three months old. During a visit to the opthamologist, the physician was excited by how well this little boy was able to focus at such a young age.
And so Carson blossomed from there, reading books at two and taking on Kumon math when he was three. When he took his SATs at age 10, he earned a total score of 1770. Talk about precocious.
That said, don't think that Carson Huey-You at 11 is the only overachiever in his clan. His seven-year-old brother, Cannan, is likely to graduate high school in another two years and will then choose his field of study.
So will Cannan take on quantum physics like his older sibling? Time will tell for this young man who is following in Carson's footsteps in a very big way.
