A new award show was born Monday night. The American Country Awards debuted on Fox and featured performances by Reba McEntire, Toby Keith, The Band Perry and a performance from Dallas by Keith Urban.

Fans voted on all the winners, a difference from the other country award shows that are mainly voted on by insiders. The inagaural event was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Trace Adkins was the host.

The big winner of the night was Carrie Underwood who won six American Country Awards, including the coveted Artist of the Year Award. She also won for Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year Female Artist for and Music Video of the Year by a Female Artist for "Cowboy Casanova" and Touring Headline Package of the Year.

Rascal Flatts received the award show's first Decade Award for being the best-selling and most-awarded country group of the decade. Easton Corbin won the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award. Josh Turner won Single of the Year Male Artist for his most-played single, "Why Can't We Just Dance?" Toby Keith won the Video Visionary Award. Lady Antebellum won Group of the Year Award.

The American Country Awards aired live on Little Rock's FOX 16.
